The UAE and Iran to enhance medical cooperation

Minister of Health and Medical Education of Iran Bahram Eynollahi has underlined the need to expand strategic collaborations between the UAE and Tehran in healthcare.

One of Iran’s health system’s accomplishments is the manufacture of anti-cancer medications, which have been utilized in an Iranian hospital in Dubai and have proven effective in treating patients, he continued.

He continued by pointing out that the IRCS can supply medicine to the UAE at a competitive price because of its expertise in the production of pharmaceuticals, and he expressed his willingness to collaborate with the UAE Ministry of Health and forge collaborative relationships.

Al Owais, for his part, emphasized that the Red Crescent’s acts serve as examples of prophetic obligations, that Iran is our friend and brother, and that, as a result, bilateral collaboration is growing. He also welcomed the development of this cooperation and suggested building new methods.

He added that synergy needs to be prioritized because it is currently impossible to succeed in many areas on your own.

Self-sufficiency in pharmaceuticals production

According to Mohammad Reza Shanehsaz, the previous head of the Food and Drug Administration, the number of pharmaceuticals imported into Iran has decreased by 91%, demonstrating the strength of the nation’s pharmaceutical industry.

He added that since domestic manufacturers already produce every drug used to treat coronavirus, importing them all would result in exorbitant exchange rates and emphasized that the creation of the COVID-19 vaccine shows the pharmaceutical industry’s capacity.

According to the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, 227 knowledge-based businesses provide medical equipment to hospitals all around the nation.
