Acer Unveils Ultra-Light Swift Blade 14 Laptop
Acer has expanded its Predator gaming handheld lineup with the new Predator Atlas 7. The company announced the device in Berlin on September 2, 2026, during its next@acer global press conference.
The Windows 11 Home handheld targets gamers seeking powerful PC performance in a smaller form factor. Meanwhile, Acer has positioned it as a more compact alternative to the recently introduced 8-inch Predator Atlas 8.
Predator Atlas 7 Targets Portable PC Gaming
The Predator Atlas 7 uses Intel Arc G-Series processors, with configurations reaching the Intel Arc G3 Extreme. It can also include Intel Arc B390 graphics, depending on the model.
Furthermore, the handheld supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe storage. It also uses Intel XeSS 3 technology for AI-powered upscaling and supported graphics features.
The device features a 7-inch Full HD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display supports Variable Refresh Rate, 500-nit peak brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC treatment also helps reduce reflections.
For sustained gaming, Acer has equipped the Atlas 7 with a dual-fan cooling system. One fan uses the company’s Predator AeroBlade metal design with 89 blades. According to Acer, the design delivers up to 10% higher airflow than its comparison plastic fan.
The system also uses Vortex Flow tuning to direct hot air through the chassis. As a result, the cooling setup aims to maintain more consistent performance during demanding sessions.
Controls, Connectivity and Battery
Acer has focused heavily on control precision with the new handheld. Select configurations offer tunneling magnetoresistance, or TMR, joysticks designed for precise input and drift resistance. Hall-effect analog triggers also provide pressure-sensitive control.
Moreover, the Atlas 7 includes rear macro buttons and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. The device also supports Windows Hello for faster authentication.
Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a UHS-II microSD card reader. It also supports Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Therefore, users can connect external displays, docks, accessories and additional storage.
The handheld supports batteries of up to 80Wh, although Acer lists a 60Wh option for select configurations. It also supports 65W power delivery. However, actual battery life will vary with configuration, settings and usage.
For software control, PredatorSense provides system monitoring and performance controls. Users can also adjust fan settings, graphics options and RGB lighting through the application.
Acer Sets Regional Availability for 2026
The Predator Atlas 7 will reach North America in the fourth quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, Acer plans to make EMEA availability available from November 2026. The company has not provided universal pricing because specifications and availability can vary by region. (
Acer is also showcasing Project DualPlay Mini alongside the Atlas 7. Unlike the Atlas 7, however, DualPlay Mini remains a concept device. It combines an 8-inch handheld with a flip-and-swivel design and an integrated backlit keyboard for gaming and productivity.
With the Atlas 7, Acer is therefore broadening its handheld strategy to focus on compact PC gaming. At the same time, its Intel Arc platform, high-refresh display and expanded connectivity target users seeking desktop-style PC gaming in a portable format.
