Serbia and e& Enterprise Partner to Expand Digital Infrastructure Capacity

Serbia and e& enterprise sign MoU

A strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between e& enterprise and the Office for IT and eGovernment of Serbia. The deal focuses on building advanced digital infrastructure, expanding Serbia’s hyperscale-ready data center capacity, and positioning the country as a regional hub for sovereign cloud and digital services.

The agreement will triple the country’s current capacity by adding up to forty megawatts to the existing 14-MW Tier-4 campus in Kragujevac. With this expansion, Serbia strengthens its ability to meet local demand while supporting neighboring markets. Moreover, the partnership creates conditions for hosting critical workloads such as sovereign data, enterprise systems, and AI applications across the Balkans.

Strategic Importance and Regional Growth

The collaboration reflects Serbia’s ambition to establish itself as a trusted hub for EU-grade sovereign infrastructure. It builds on the success of the first Tier-4 data center, completed with 1,080 racks and 14 MW of capacity. With land already secured for future growth, the new phase enhances resiliency, data governance, and operational reliability. Consequently, citizens, entrepreneurs, and enterprises will benefit from lower latency, stronger services, and expanded digital opportunities.

The MoU also builds momentum from e& enterprise’s recent partnership with 4iG in Hungary. Together, these initiatives open pathways for digital projects in Serbia and the wider Balkans, connecting seamlessly with e&’s Middle East backbone and subsea cables. This corridor aims to improve secure traffic flows between MENA, Europe, and beyond, reinforcing Serbia’s strategic role.

Future Cooperation and Broader Impact

Since 2017, the Office for IT and eGovernment has driven Serbia’s digital transformation. Projects such as the eGovernment portal, interoperability systems, and government-owned data centers have improved public services and transparency. With this new MoU, Serbia gains international partners to accelerate digitalization and further support innovation-driven growth.

By combining technical expertise with regional investment, the partnership ensures Serbia can scale digital infrastructure while enabling businesses, governments, and startups to thrive. At the same time, the collaboration contributes to a more resilient digital economy across Southeast Europe, strengthening ties between the Balkans, the Middle East, and global markets.
