Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max Launches With 13.3-Inch Display and Xring O3
Xiaomi has unveiled the Pad 9 Pro Max, a flagship Android tablet scheduled to launch in China on September 7, 2026. The company has not released its complete specifications yet. However, teaser images reveal its design, display size and productivity-focused accessories.
Moreover, the tablet will use Xiaomi’s flagship Xring O3 chipset. The same processor will also power the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold. Therefore, the Pad 9 Pro Max should deliver high-end performance for demanding applications and multitasking.
Refined Design With Thin Bezels
The promotional images show the Pad 9 Pro Max in an elegant red finish. Compared with the previous Pad 8 series, Xiaomi has also redesigned the rear camera area.
The tablet features a small camera island with one rear camera and an LED flash. Additionally, Xiaomi has placed an Xring logo beside the camera module.
At the front, relatively thin and uniform bezels surround the display. Meanwhile, the front-facing camera sits flush within one of the side bezels. This placement supports landscape video calls without adding a visible notch or cutout.
Furthermore, the slim borders give the tablet a modern appearance. Its large screen and minimalist design also position it as a potential rival to Apple’s iPad Pro.
Large Display and Productivity Accessories
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Pad 9 Pro Max features a 13.3-inch display. However, the company has not revealed the panel technology or screen resolution.
The premium model in the previous Pad 8 series used an IPS panel. Therefore, an OLED upgrade would help the new tablet compete more effectively in the flagship market. Still, OLED support remains unconfirmed.
Xiaomi has also shown the tablet with a keyboard and stylus. Consequently, users should be able to use it for writing, drawing, editing and other productivity tasks.
Moreover, the accessories could make the device suitable for students, professionals and creative users. However, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether it will include them in the box or sell them separately.
Xring O3 Performance and Expected Availability
The flagship Xring O3 processor represents one of the tablet’s biggest upgrades. Although Xiaomi has not shared detailed performance figures, the chipset should support advanced multitasking and demanding Android applications.
Meanwhile, reports suggest the tablet may include a large battery and 120W fast charging. However, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed either feature.
A broad international launch also appears uncertain. Xiaomi’s previous Xring-powered devices remained exclusive to China, so the Pad 9 Pro Max could follow the same strategy.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi may reveal additional specifications before the September 7 launch. Pricing, storage options, battery capacity and display technology remain unknown for now.
