Dubai RTA Expands AI Marine Transport Network
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has enhanced its Seasonal Network initiative for marine transport services through artificial intelligence and predictive analytics. As a result, the authority aims to improve operational efficiency and strengthen service responsiveness during peak travel periods.
The initiative supports real-time adaptation to passenger demand during public holidays, major events, and seasonal traffic fluctuations across Dubai.
AI and Big Data Drive Forecasting
RTA will activate its summer operating plan in July using an integrated big-data platform. The system consolidates passenger volumes, occupancy rates, and revenue patterns into a unified operational framework.
Consequently, the authority can improve forecasting accuracy and make faster operational decisions across the marine transport network. The AI-powered system processes large datasets from multiple sources and supports flexible service scheduling based on seasonal demand.
Additionally, predictive analytics evaluate operational variables such as passenger numbers, occupancy levels, and revenue trends. The technology also simulates passenger behavior to forecast future demand more precisely.
