Kenya Hosts Major Expo Advancing Africa’s Electric Mobility Future

Electric vehicles at Africa mobility expo

Africa EV Mobility Expo Kenya 2025 will run from 4–6 December at The Edge Convention Centre in Nairobi. The event will bring together top regional and international manufacturers to showcase next-generation electric vehicle technologies that are reshaping transportation and energy systems across Africa.

Kenya is gaining strong momentum as an EV hub because more than 90 percent of its electricity is generated from renewable sources. As supportive regulation expands, the country is attracting investors, growing charging networks, and preparing to reach major adoption targets. Therefore, the expo will highlight Kenya’s strategic position in advancing clean mobility across the continent.

Four Core Sectors Driving Innovation

The exhibition will emphasise key segments essential for accelerating electric mobility. Battery systems, parts, and fuel-cell technologies will be on display, enabling new forms of energy storage and performance. Energy and infrastructure providers will present fast-charging stations, cables, and future-ready grid systems to support nationwide deployment.

New-energy vehicles, from electric passenger cars to commercial fleets and micro-mobility solutions, will demonstrate how transport is evolving. Powertrain and hydrogen technologies will further illustrate the shift to low-emission propulsion. Attendees will discover innovations, network with industry decision-makers, and take part in seminars that share policy updates and real-world case studies. These experiences will help organisations accelerate sustainable mobility strategies in line with national climate goals.

Strategic Support and Regional Collaboration

Strong institutional and media partnerships will expand the expo’s global reach, while regional collaboration encourages investment and long-term growth in Africa’s EV value chain. The event acts as a catalyst for clean-mobility deployment, encourages cross-border cooperation, and supports new business opportunities. With Nairobi becoming a meeting point for public and private-sector leaders, Africa EV Mobility Expo Kenya 2025 will shape a more connected and sustainable transportation future for the continent.
