The UAE’s AI Office has formed a strategic partnership with Vista, aimed at the development of the digital economy

The Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a partnership with Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm that focuses on enterprise software, data, and technology-enabled businesses. This strategic collaboration aims to advance the local digital economy and support the country’s efforts to build upon local digital talent and critical skills within the UAE workforce.

The partnership, announced during the World Government Summit in Dubai, will facilitate the exchange of information, experiences, and best practices to develop local technology hubs and centres of excellence. It will also integrate digital learning into schools and university curriculums, with Vista and the AI Office collaborating to drive digital transformation for local enterprises and governments through dialogue and discussions around the adoption of new technologies, including artificial intelligence and blockchain in the public and private sectors.

The collaboration supports the UAE’s “Next 50” and “Projects of the 50” initiatives, aimed at accelerating the region’s development as a comprehensive hub in all sectors and establishing its status as an ideal destination for talents and investors, with a focus on the development of the UAE innovation ecosystem.

The partnership will allow the UAE to leverage Vista’s enterprise ecosystem to accelerate broader initiatives for driving economic growth through the power of technology. According to Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for the AI Office and Managing Director of the WGS, collaborating with the private sector plays a key role in further consolidating the UAE as a leader in the global digital economy.
