Ajman and CPX Strengthen Cybersecurity Cooperation
Ajman Digital Department, Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, and CPX have signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding. The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in information technology and cybersecurity.
Meanwhile, the UAE Cyber Security Council sponsored and coordinated the agreement. The partnership aims to support a safer, more sustainable digital environment in Ajman.
Cooperation Focuses on Cybersecurity Capabilities
The MoU establishes a framework for exchanging knowledge and expertise. The parties will also share cybersecurity practices and technical information to improve digital protection.
The cooperation will focus on preventing and responding to cyberattacks. In addition, the partners will work to strengthen information security capabilities across participating government entities.
The agreement also includes cybersecurity awareness and education programs. As a result, the initiative will address both technical preparedness and safe digital practices.
Ajman Digital Director-General Ahood Ali Al Shuhail described cybersecurity as a shared responsibility. She said, “Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and enhancing readiness requires integrated efforts and the exchange of expertise between government entities and specialised partners.”
She added that the cooperation will expand efforts in prevention, response, and cybersecurity awareness. As a result, the partners aim to strengthen protection for digital infrastructure and support secure government services.
Government Entities Expand Digital Resilience
Hamdan Mohammed Al Ali, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, said the agreement will strengthen information security coordination. He also highlighted knowledge exchange and capability development as part of the cooperation.
Accordingly, the partnership will support efforts to protect government systems, data, and digital infrastructure. It will also focus on maintaining reliable public services as cyber risks evolve.
The agreement brings a specialist cybersecurity company into closer cooperation with Ajman government entities. Meanwhile, the UAE Cyber Security Council provides sponsorship and coordination for the initiative.
The MoU also supports the UAE’s National Initiative to develop the capabilities of Cyber Security Operations Centres. Consequently, the cooperation is expected to contribute to wider cybersecurity capacity building and digital resilience.
Ajman Links Cybersecurity With Digital Transformation
Ajman has continued expanding digital government services, which increases the importance of protecting systems and data. As a result, the latest agreement places cybersecurity cooperation alongside broader digital transformation efforts.
The partners will exchange expertise, build awareness, and strengthen preparedness for cyber threats. At the same time, the agreement creates a framework for continued cooperation between government bodies and cybersecurity specialists.
