Emirates Petroleum Company P.J.S.C. (Emarat) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dell Technologies to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption. The agreement was signed on August 20, 2026, in Dubai.
The partnership supports Emarat’s broader digital transformation strategy. In particular, the companies will focus on practical AI applications, data-driven decision-making and scalable technology capabilities. Consequently, Emarat aims to improve operational efficiency, resilience and sustainable growth.
Joint Roadmap for Enterprise AI
Under the agreement, Emarat and Dell Technologies will jointly identify opportunities for AI-enabled technologies across key areas of Emarat’s business. They will also assess changing technology requirements and develop a roadmap aligned with Emarat’s long-term priorities.
Furthermore, the collaboration will examine how AI can support practical business operations. This approach places greater emphasis on use cases that can improve decision-making and operational performance.
The partnership also addresses the technology capabilities required to scale AI across the organisation. As a result, Emarat can build a more structured foundation for deploying advanced digital technologies across its operations.
The MoU was signed by Burhan Al Hashemi, Chief Executive Officer of Emarat, and Walid Yehia, Managing Director, South Gulf, Dell Technologies.
Building AI Readiness Across Emarat
The collaboration also aims to strengthen employees’ readiness for AI-driven transformation. Emarat said the partnership will expand practical applications of AI while developing future-focused technology skills among its workforce.
Moreover, stronger data capabilities can help Emarat use operational information more effectively. This can support faster analysis, better planning and more informed business decisions.
Dell Technologies brings enterprise infrastructure and AI expertise to the collaboration. The company has been expanding its AI portfolio around infrastructure, data management and services designed to help organisations move AI projects from experimentation into production.
Therefore, the Emarat agreement fits into a wider shift toward practical enterprise AI adoption. Companies across the region are increasingly focusing on deploying AI within core operations rather than limiting projects to early-stage experimentation.
Supporting UAE Digital Transformation
The partnership comes as the UAE continues to expand AI adoption across major industries. Energy and petroleum companies can use AI across areas such as operational planning, asset management, forecasting and decision support.
For Emarat, the agreement provides a framework for identifying where these technologies can deliver measurable operational value. At the same time, the roadmap can help the company assess infrastructure and capability requirements as its AI programme develops.
Dell’s regional strategy also reflects this broader movement. In recent UAE collaborations, Dell Technologies has worked with organisations on AI infrastructure, cloud expansion and government AI capabilities.
Ultimately, the Emarat-Dell Technologies MoU establishes a structured path for expanding AI across the petroleum company’s operations. As the roadmap develops, the partnership could help translate AI capabilities into stronger efficiency, resilience and data-led decision-making.
