Adobe and Google announced at Google I/O 2026 that the Adobe for creativity connector will soon launch inside Gemini. As a result, Gemini users will gain access to more than 50 professional creative tools from Adobe Creative Cloud.
The integration expands Adobe’s broader strategy of embedding creative workflows into major AI platforms. Previously, the company introduced the same connector for Anthropic’s Claude platform.
AI-Powered Creative Workflows
The connector allows Gemini users to describe creative goals in natural language while Adobe’s AI systems handle execution across multiple applications. Consequently, users can complete complex workflows without switching between separate tools.
Adobe’s creative agent technology powers the integration. The system coordinates tasks across Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, Express, and additional Creative Cloud applications. Furthermore, the platform manages multi-step processes while requesting approvals at important stages.
The workflow model focuses on outcome-driven creation. Therefore, users can develop campaigns, marketing assets, product visuals, and video variations through a single conversational interface. The system also combines imaging, design, and video production into one connected environment.
Expansion Beyond Adobe Platforms
Adobe first introduced the connector for Claude on April 28. At that stage, Anthropic users gained access to professional tools from Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere, InDesign, Lightroom, and Adobe Stock.
Later, Adobe expanded its Firefly AI Assistant rollout with deeper workflow integration across more than 60 tools inside Adobe’s own ecosystem. Meanwhile, Gemini now represents the company’s next major expansion point aimed at reaching a significantly larger audience.
The connector is expected to arrive in Gemini within the coming weeks. Additionally, the launch aligns with Google’s broader AI announcements, including Gemini 3.5 Flash and Gemini Spark.
The partnership also reflects a wider industry shift toward integrating professional creative tools directly into AI-driven productivity environments. As a result, Adobe continues extending its software ecosystem beyond standalone creative applications.
