GTA VI Limited-Edition DualSense Controllers Unveiled Ahead of November Launch

GTA VI Limited DualSense Controllers

Sony has unveiled two limited-edition DualSense controllers celebrating the upcoming launch of Grand Theft Auto VI. Both designs draw inspiration from Vice City, one of the game’s key locations.

The controllers come in black and white versions, with each capturing a different side of the fictional city. Moreover, both feature distinctive finishes and design details linked to GTA VI.

Pre-orders will begin on 10 September. Meanwhile, the controllers will launch on 19 November 2026, alongside Grand Theft Auto VI.

Two DualSense Designs Inspired by Vice City

The lineup includes the Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition. Although they share the same theme, each controller presents Vice City differently.

Both versions feature an iridescent surface that changes colour depending on the viewing angle. Additionally, the finish combines shades inspired by Vice City’s colourful sunsets and neon-lit streets.

Palm-tree details also appear across the shell. Importantly, these elements form part of the controller’s construction, giving them a noticeable tactile texture. Official Grand Theft Auto VI branding completes the design.

The white model focuses on Vice City during the daytime. Therefore, its design takes inspiration from bright beaches, pastel skies and the city’s more relaxed atmosphere.

In contrast, the black version celebrates Vice City’s nightlife and darker aesthetic. However, both controllers will arrive in limited quantities.

The white controller will reach the official PlayStation store and selected retailers in certain markets. Meanwhile, the black edition will sell directly through PlayStation in regions where its direct store operates. Selected retailers will offer it in other markets.

GTA VI Takes Advantage of DualSense Features

The special-edition controllers offer more than cosmetic changes. GTA VI will also take advantage of key DualSense technologies on PlayStation 5.

For example, haptic feedback will respond to events happening on screen. As a result, players will experience different physical sensations depending on the action.

Adaptive triggers will also change resistance when players interact with different gameplay elements. Therefore, the controller should provide more physical feedback throughout Jason and Lucia’s story.

These features form part of the broader push to take advantage of PlayStation 5 hardware. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games is preparing GTA VI for release on 19 November 2026.

The game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, PC was not included among the platforms announced for this release.

The limited-edition DualSense models will serve as compatible accessories for PlayStation 5 owners. Their recommended retail price will be $84.99, or around 370 zł depending on the market. In addition, the price in Japan will be ¥12,480 including tax.

Pre-orders will open on 10 September at 10:00 local time in specified markets. However, exact availability and release timing may differ between countries.

Limited Controllers Arrive Alongside GTA VI

Both limited-edition controllers combine GTA VI branding with visual references to Vice City’s distinctive atmosphere. While the white model reflects its sunny daytime setting, the black controller focuses on its neon nightlife.

Furthermore, both designs include colour-changing finishes and palm-tree details. The limited production run also makes them special alternatives to standard DualSense controllers.

The controllers will cost €84.99 in applicable European markets. Finally, their 19 November launch will coincide with the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
