Amazon has launched the Amazon Youth Council (AYC) in partnership with the UAE’s Federal Youth Authority to support Emirati youth development.
The council launched on International Youth Day and brings together young Emirati professionals from Amazon and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the UAE. Moreover, the initiative aims to create opportunities for learning, career development, and community engagement.
Focus on professional development
The AYC will focus on professional development, skills building, mentorship, cultural awareness, and community initiatives. In addition, its programs will include technology training, skills workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and partnerships focused on youth development.
Furthermore, the initiative highlights cooperation between the private and public sectors in creating development opportunities for young Emiratis. Through its programs, the council aims to strengthen skills and provide practical experiences that can support future careers.
Community and cultural initiatives
Moreover, the council will organize volunteering activities and cultural initiatives that highlight Emirati identity, values, and customs. As a result, participants can develop professional skills while strengthening their connection with the wider community.
As part of its activities, the council held a Youth Day event at its Dubai office. Additionally, Emirati entrepreneurs and locally owned businesses participated in the event.
The event included an entrepreneur showcase and a business and innovation competition. Moreover, activities explored culture, wellness, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.
Through these initiatives, the council aims to combine professional growth with cultural awareness and community participation. Therefore, the program seeks to help young Emiratis build skills and gain experience for future career opportunities.
