Tesla has started rolling out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.3.5 through the over-the-air software update 2026.20.6.6. The latest release introduces a rebuilt AI compiler, upgraded neural networks, and several new user-facing features for HW4-equipped vehicles. As a result, the update aims to improve both driving performance and the overall user experience.
AI Improvements and New Features
The update began reaching vehicles on July 13 and includes several major technical enhancements. Most notably, Tesla rebuilt its AI compiler and runtime using MLIR, which delivers a 20% faster reaction time. In addition, the company upgraded the reinforcement learning stage of the FSD neural network and improved the vision encoder. Consequently, the system performs better in low-visibility conditions and rare driving situations.
Tesla also expanded the Camera Preview feature. Drivers can now access live camera feeds while the vehicle is moving through Controls > Service > Camera Preview, whereas the feature previously worked only in Park mode. Furthermore, the update introduces Dashcam Clip Encryption, ensuring only the owner’s vehicle can view saved recordings. New Parental Controls also allow owners to block access to the Browser, Theater, and Arcade apps.
Driving Performance Sees Further Refinements
Tesla says the update reduces unnecessary lane biasing and minor tailgating while improving parking spot selection and maneuvering. Additionally, the system now handles emergency vehicles, school buses, small animals, and unexpected road obstacles more effectively.
However, some owners continue to report issues with parking behavior and speed profiles in the v14.3 series. Although early user feedback describes the latest build as noticeably smoother, Tesla appears to be refining its parking logic through each incremental software release.
Limited Release Continues
The rollout currently remains limited to AI4 (HW4) versions of the Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck. According to deployment tracking data, only a small percentage of eligible vehicles have received the update so far. Nevertheless, previous releases in the v14.3 series expanded to thousands of vehicles within a few days, suggesting a broader rollout could follow soon.
