Digital Dubai has launched an intensive bootcamp with multiple government entities to speed up the migration of public services into the DubaiNow app. As a result, more than 180 additional services will join the platform by the end of February 2027, supporting Dubai’s plan to make DubaiNow the unified digital channel for individual government services.
This initiative aligns with the Digital Shared Channels Initiative, which aims to simplify access to public services through a more connected digital ecosystem. Moreover, the bootcamp brings together major government bodies, including the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Police, Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Health, Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Dubai Culture, the Department of Finance, Dubai Community Development Authority, and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai.
While these organisations will lead the next migration phase, additional government entities are expected to join during future implementation stages.
Unified Digital Government Experience
Commenting on the initiative, Matar Al Hemeiri, CEO of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, said that, “The Digital Shared Channels Initiative marks a significant transformation in the delivery of government services in Dubai. It is built on unifying services within specialized digital channels that provide a clearer, more seamless user experience, powered by AI.”
He further added, “This bootcamp is part of Digital Dubai’s ongoing efforts to accelerate the implementation of the directives of HH Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and Chairman of The Executive Council, ensuring a smooth transition of services to the ‘DubaiNow’ app as the unified digital channel for individual services.”
Digital Dubai’s strategy goes beyond simply consolidating services into one app. Instead, it focuses on building a connected government framework where agencies work together around user needs. Consequently, residents can expect faster access, fewer fragmented systems, and a more seamless experience.
AI-Powered Vision for Better Services
Al Hemeiri also noted that, “Our goal extends beyond providing services through a single platform. We are advancing a connected government experience in which entities operate as one integrated ecosystem centered around people’s needs.”
He concluded by saying, “As more services are integrated into the ‘DubaiNow’ app, we continue to strengthen a digital model that makes access to services easier, faster, and more reliable, reflecting Dubai’s vision of delivering the world’s best digital experience.”
These developments form part of Dubai’s broader effort to unify digital government service delivery. Ultimately, the initiative aims to improve quality of life while also strengthening the emirate’s competitiveness as a global digital leader.
