Adobe Launches AI-Powered PDF Agent to Create Interactive Digital Experiences

AI interface transforming PDF documents

A new AI-powered productivity agent for Acrobat is turning traditional PDFs into interactive, multimedia-rich experiences. The tool, now available in Acrobat Express and Acrobat Studio, combines document intelligence within a conversational interface. As a result, users can chat with PDFs to uncover insights and instantly create presentations, podcasts, blog posts, and social media content from existing documents.

In addition, the updated PDF Spaces feature now works as a publishing platform. Users can organize PDFs, links, notes, and documents into branded, shareable experiences that include customizable AI assistants designed for specific audiences. Furthermore, recipients can access these shared spaces without needing an account. The platform also generates audio summaries, helping readers understand key points quickly before exploring documents in depth. Meanwhile, engagement analytics allow users to track which materials attract the most attention.

Early Users Highlight Diverse Applications

Several high-profile users have already adopted the platform across media, entertainment, and events. VICE News plans to use PDF Spaces for reporting content aimed at its audience of more than 20 million followers. The platform will allow readers to explore stories with additional context. Grammy-winning artist Kid Cudi is also using the service to share exclusive content connected to his podcast series. At the same time, journalist Jessica Yellin is using it to deliver deeper background information related to her news coverage. Celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss has also joined the initial group of featured users.

Expanding the AI Document Ecosystem

The launch follows several AI-focused updates introduced for Acrobat during the past year. Acrobat Studio debuted in August 2025 with PDF Spaces and customizable AI assistants. Later, a free Student Spaces tool for academic users arrived in April 2026. Now, the new productivity agent serves as an orchestration layer that coordinates multiple AI models to generate text, images, and multimedia directly from documents.
