Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, has signed its first US-based partnership with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). The agreement marks a significant step in connecting high-growth startups across both regions. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum (ADIF) in New York.
The partnership aims to create a strong bridge for innovation-driven companies to scale internationally. It will also enhance collaboration between the UAE and the US in key sectors such as artificial intelligence and clean energy. Furthermore, the agreement establishes a foundation for reciprocal access between Abu Dhabi and New Jersey’s startup ecosystems, giving founders more opportunities to expand across global markets.
Accelerating Innovation and Market Access
Through joint programs, market visits, and introductions to investors, regulators, and corporations, startups will gain access to both ecosystems. This collaboration ensures that founders receive tailored support and strategic guidance when entering new markets. In addition, by connecting entrepreneurs to funding networks and customer bases, the initiative will help accelerate international commercial growth.
The partnership also promotes the exchange of knowledge, talent, and technology, helping ventures achieve faster scalability. It reflects a shared commitment to supporting innovation, fostering cross-border collaboration, and driving sustainable business expansion between the UAE and the US.
Strengthening Global Collaboration
The agreement complements Hub71’s growing network of international alliances, including its recent partnership with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO). This global approach continues to expand opportunities for startups by promoting innovation exchange and strategic cooperation between key economies.
As Abu Dhabi enhances its reputation as a global technology and innovation hub, the new partnership reinforces Hub71’s central role in empowering startups. By facilitating international collaboration, the initiative strengthens the city’s position as a leading destination for entrepreneurs and contributes to long-term sustainable economic development.
