Leica has expanded its iconic SL-Series with the launch of the SL3-S, a full-frame system camera that blends the brand’s signature craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology to cater to both photographers and videographers.
At its core, the SL3-S features a groundbreaking 24-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor capable of multi-shot outputs at 48 and 96 megapixels. With an impressive 15-stop dynamic range and an ISO range of 50 – 200,000, it ensures unmatched performance across diverse lighting conditions.
The advanced autofocus system combines phase detection, depth map object detection, and contrast detection for exceptional focusing precision, allowing 30fps continuous shooting with full autofocus capabilities.
For videographers, the SL3-S offers professional-grade features such as 6K recording, 3:2 open-gate capture, and internal ProRes 4:2:2 HQ recording at 5.8K/30fps and C4K/60fps with no time restrictions.
The SL3-S also introduces the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) technology, embedding secure metadata to ensure image authenticity and editorial transparency.
