Dubai AI & Web3 Festival Ends with New Initiatives

The inaugural Dubai AI and Web3 Festival, held over two days, has concluded with significant announcements and the launch of new initiatives. The event, organized by the Dubai AI Campus in collaboration with DIFC and the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, drew more than 6,800 participants from over 100 countries, including high-profile government officials, heads of state, academics, and business leaders.

The festival, hosted at the Dubai AI Campus, featured over 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in AI and Web3 technologies. Notable among the highlights was DIFC’s introduction of the ‘AI as a Service’ platform, designed to assist companies in evaluating their AI readiness and formulating effective strategies. Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, emphasized the festival’s role in Dubai’s economic diversification efforts. “20 years ago, a future-focused DIFC emerged as a pillar to support Dubai’s economic diversification efforts, armed with world-class regulations and best practices. Our culture of innovation serves as the foundation for propelling the region’s biggest ecosystem for business, finance, and emerging technologies.

The Dubai AI Campus has already attracted over 120 firms, exceeding our first-year target of 75 companies. By 2028, we expect to bring in more than 500 companies, create over 3,000 jobs, expand the AI Campus to over 100,000 sq. ft and attract 300 million US dollars in investment,” Amiri said.

The festival also featured the Future Tech World Cup competition, where AI and Web3 companies competed for top honors. Discussions throughout the event covered a range of topics including inclusion and diversity, decentralized intelligence, and the implementation of AI in business.

Several key agreements were finalized during the festival, including partnerships with Dubai Civil Defence, Holon, Kearney, and Visa. Looking ahead, the next Dubai AI & Web3 Festival is planned for November 2025, with aspirations to become one of the world’s leading AI events by 2027.
