Adobe Brings Creative Tools to Gemini and Claude
Adobe announced new integrations with Google Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude. The updates bring Adobe’s creative and productivity tools directly into AI conversations.
With the Gemini integration, users can access Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Express, and Firefly. Meanwhile, Adobe has added Acrobat tools and interactive editing capabilities to its existing Claude plugin. Consequently, users can create content, edit documents, and refine designs without switching between applications.
Adobe Brings Photoshop, Lightroom and Firefly to Gemini
Adobe’s new Gemini integration allows users to access creative tools through conversational instructions. For example, users can upload photographs and request specific edits. Adobe’s tools then handle lighting, colour correction, cropping, and other adjustments.
Additionally, users can create marketing materials and adapt existing designs for different platforms. They can also customise Adobe Express templates by changing text, images, and colours. As a result, businesses and content creators can prepare promotional materials directly within Gemini.
The integration supports all Gemini plans and is rolling out globally. To get started, users can open Personal Intelligence, select Adobe under Connected Apps, and connect their Adobe account. Users can also create an Adobe account for free.
Claude Gains Acrobat Tools and Interactive Editing
Meanwhile, Adobe has expanded its existing Claude integration by adding Acrobat capabilities. The updated plugin brings more than 80 professional tools into a single conversation. These include tools from Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, Express, and Adobe Stock.
Users can now perform several PDF tasks directly through Claude. For instance, they can combine or split documents, delete pages, redact sensitive information, and convert files into other formats. Additionally, a new interactive PDF editor supports text editing, page reordering, comments, and highlights.
Adobe has also introduced a Document Review skill. With this feature, Claude can analyse documents and add recommendations and annotations directly in the editor. Consequently, users can review and refine documents within their existing workflow.
Furthermore, the updated plugin adds a layer-based editor for Adobe Express designs. Users can independently modify images, text, colours, and fonts. This approach allows precise adjustments without regenerating an entire design.
Global Rollout Expands Adobe’s AI Integrations
Adobe is rolling out its Gemini integration globally across all Gemini plans. Meanwhile, Adobe for Claude is available globally through Claude and Claude Code on desktop, mobile, and web.
Users can access the Claude plugin as guests. However, signing in with an Adobe account unlocks higher usage limits, additional tools, and continuity across sessions. Existing users of Adobe’s previous Claude connector will automatically receive the updated plugin.
The announcements extend Adobe’s existing integrations with ChatGPT, Slack, and Microsoft Copilot. Moreover, Adobe says it plans to expand its Gemini experience with additional creative and productivity tools.
