Perplexity generates AI images, Powered by ChatGPT Technology

Perplexity generates AI images using ChatGPT technology for enhanced creativity.

Perplexity, an AI conversational search engine, now offers a new feature that enhances its user experience. The platform can generate AI-powered images using the same model that drives ChatGPT. This update aligns with Perplexity’s goal of integrating advanced AI technologies, making the platform more versatile and user-friendly.

Easy Image Generation with Perplexity

Generating images on Perplexity is simple. Users can prompt the AI with a request like, “Generate an image of a sunset over the ocean,” and the platform creates the visual. Perplexity uses OpenAI’s GPT-4.1 model to generate the image, which appears instantly. Free users can generate up to three images per day, while Perplexity Pro users enjoy unlimited access.

Although the images resemble those created by ChatGPT, they are powered by the same technology. Perplexity automatically selects the correct model, ensuring a seamless user experience without requiring manual input.

Expanding the AI Toolkit

Along with image generation, Perplexity has expanded its AI model selection. Users can now access xAI’s Grok 3 and OpenAI’s o4-mini for more accurate and nuanced responses. By incorporating these models, Perplexity offers a broader range of tools, giving users a tailored experience without overwhelming them with choices.
