NVIDIA has announced Jetson Orin Nano 2, a compact robotics computer designed for entry-level edge AI. The system delivers 78 trillion operations per second, 8GB of memory and an eight-core Arm CPU. Moreover, it offers twice the inference performance of its predecessor while using 40% less power at the same performance. The platform supports generative AI, vision-language models and real-time robotics applications.
Expanding Edge AI Capabilities
More than three million developers already build on NVIDIA’s robotics stack. Meanwhile, companies including Cognex, Doosan Bobcat and Matic are exploring the new platform. Additionally, Wing plans to evaluate it for drone delivery applications. Matic is adopting the system for home robots with conversational AI, gesture detection and autonomous navigation.
Availability
Furthermore, ecosystem partners are developing carrier boards, hardware systems and customized software. These solutions aim to help developers accelerate product development and deployment. The Jetson Orin Nano 2 module and developer kit are expected to become available during the first half of 2027.
