Dubai Launches AI Workforce Program to Train 50,000 Government Employees

Dubai government AI workforce training

Digital Dubai has introduced the AI Workforce Transformation Program (AI+), aiming to train 50,000 government employees. Through this initiative, the city seeks to expand artificial intelligence integration across public sector operations. Moreover, the program operates in collaboration with key institutions, including the Dubai Government Human Resources Department and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, under the Dubai Future Foundation.

As a result, the initiative reinforces Dubai’s commitment to building a future-ready government. At the same time, it promotes the adoption of AI-driven systems across services and internal processes. Therefore, the program plays a central role in advancing digital transformation across the public sector.

Building Skills and Driving Innovation

To ensure effectiveness, the program introduces structured learning tracks tailored to various job roles. These tracks aim to improve productivity while also enhancing operational efficiency. In addition, they encourage continuous learning and innovation within government entities.

Furthermore, the initiative delivers training through webinars, workshops, and hands-on sessions. Because of this approach, employees can gain practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge. Meanwhile, specialized tracks address different needs, including leadership development, policy implementation, and technical skills.

A leadership track focuses on AI opportunities, challenges, and global case studies. Similarly, a Chief AI Officers track supports the execution of policies through workshops and knowledge sharing. Additionally, other tracks target managers, product owners, and general employees, offering training in use case development, automation, and productivity tools.

Vision for an AI-Driven Government

“The launch of the AI Workforce Transformation Program (AI+) reflects our commitment to empowering government employees to effectively harness technology to serve people, guided by data and knowledge. In Dubai, the government employee is no longer merely a user of technology but a key partner in designing smart, proactive services that anticipate and respond to people’s needs. Through this program, we are advancing a new, intelligence-driven government model, where human capabilities and AI work in synergy to enhance productivity, accelerate decision-making, and elevate digital quality of life. This initiative represents a tangible step toward achieving the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading digital city.” — Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori
