Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 Features Leak Ahead of Launch, Hinting at Upgrades

Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 features revealed

Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 could arrive soon, with new software findings revealing several potential features ahead of its official launch. A teardown of the Galaxy Fit 4 Manager companion app suggests improvements to health monitoring, display design and notification controls.

The upcoming fitness tracker is expected to succeed the Galaxy Fit 3, which debuted in 2024. Moreover, the new model could retain several existing fitness capabilities while introducing additional customisation options.

Early findings suggest support for up to 12 tiles, a slightly taller display and enhanced smartphone connectivity. Additionally, Samsung may offer the wearable in Black, Silver and Light Green colour options.

However, the company has not officially confirmed the device’s specifications, pricing or release date.

Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 Display and Notification Features

The Galaxy Fit 4 Manager app reportedly contains several clues about the upcoming wearable’s design and functionality. According to the software findings, the fitness tracker could introduce an updated interface for managing notifications and software updates.

For instance, a new banner within the software update section may alert users when updates become available. Additionally, the wearable could include a Find My Phone feature, allowing users to ring their connected smartphone directly.

The app also references two notification management options: Smart device selection and Always show on both. These settings could help users control how notifications appear across their smartphone and fitness tracker.

Furthermore, explanatory animations reportedly demonstrate how both notification modes function. This could make notification management more convenient for users switching between connected devices.

The Galaxy Fit 4 could also support up to 12 customisable tiles. Consequently, users may gain quicker access to frequently used features and fitness information.

Meanwhile, watch face assets within the application reportedly feature a resolution of 258 × 428 pixels. This suggests Samsung could introduce a slightly taller display than the Galaxy Fit 3.

The software findings also indicate three possible colour options: Black, Silver and Light Green. Nevertheless, Samsung has not confirmed the final design or available finishes.

Health Monitoring and Fitness Tracking Capabilities

Health and fitness monitoring could remain central to the Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 experience. The companion app reportedly references several tracking functions already available on its predecessor.

For example, the wearable may monitor daily steps, active time and calories burned during physical activities. Users could also customise their daily activity targets through the Samsung Health application.

Additionally, the tracker may offer heart rate monitoring and stress management features. Samsung Health could provide further controls for reviewing and managing these measurements.

Sleep tracking is another expected capability. The Galaxy Fit 4 could analyse sleep stages and generate an overall sleep score.

Moreover, the software reportedly includes references to blood oxygen monitoring and snoring detection. These features could provide users with additional insights into their sleeping patterns.

The wearable may also support multiple workout modes and automatic activity recognition. Consequently, users could record exercise sessions without manually selecting an activity every time.

Furthermore, workout-related tiles may provide convenient access to exercise information. The tracker could also synchronise recorded fitness data with Samsung Health.

Other potential wellness features include menstrual cycle tracking, water intake logging and food tracking. Additionally, breathing exercises could help users incorporate relaxation activities into their daily routines.

However, the teardown reportedly contains no references to GPS functionality. Therefore, it remains unclear whether the Galaxy Fit 4 will support independent location tracking.

Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 Launch and Availability

Samsung has yet to announce an official launch date for the Galaxy Fit 4. Nevertheless, the appearance of companion app resources suggests preparations for the upcoming wearable may be progressing.

The Galaxy Fit 3 launched in February 2024, introducing a range of health monitoring and fitness tracking capabilities. Its successor could build on that foundation through software improvements, additional customisation and refined health monitoring features.

Meanwhile, the expected display changes and notification controls could improve everyday usability. The potential inclusion of 12 tiles may also provide greater flexibility when accessing essential features.

However, pricing, battery performance, hardware specifications and regional availability remain unconfirmed.

Ultimately, the Galaxy Fit 4 could strengthen Samsung’s affordable fitness tracker lineup if these reported features reach the final product. For now, buyers will need to await an official announcement to confirm its capabilities and launch details.
