Zoho has officially entered the AI model space with the launch of its first in-house large language model, Zia. Built entirely using Nvidia’s AI-accelerated computing platform, the Zia LLM is being developed in three parameter sizes: 1.3 billion, 2.6 billion, and 7 billion. These models are designed specifically with Zoho’s product use cases in mind.
According to the company, the models can perform tasks such as code generation, summarization, structured data extraction, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Although currently in testing, Zoho expects to make Zia LLM available to users by the end of 2025.
In addition, Zoho announced two automatic speech recognition (ASR) models for English and Hindi. More Indian and European languages will be added in future updates. A reasoning language model (RLM) is also being developed to expand the AI suite further.
AI Agents Now Power Zoho’s Ecosystem
Alongside its native LLM, Zoho introduced over 25 pre-built AI agents already integrated into its platform. One such agent, Ask Zia, helps users analyze data, create dashboards, and build machine learning models. Now, it’s being improved to assist Finance and Customer Support teams more effectively.
Moreover, the company has enhanced Zia Agent Studio, making it a fully prompt-based, no-code platform. Developers can build and deploy AI agents across more than 700 supported actions without needing deep technical skills. These agents can also operate within customer conversations, making them highly versatile.
Among the newly introduced agents is Candidate Screener, which ranks applicants based on skills and experience. Another, Deal Analyser, provides insights into win probability and the next best step in sales processes.
India-Focused Agents and Third-Party Integration
Recognizing the need for localized solutions, Zoho also rolled out agents tailored for Indian compliance. These include tools to verify documents like PAN cards, Aadhaar, Voter ID, GSTIN, and electricity bills. Users can access them directly through the Zoho Agent Marketplace.
To support third-party AI tools, Zoho has implemented Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP). The company also built its own MCP server, which enables external agents to securely access data and actions across Zoho’s apps. Over 15 tools are available through early access, and additional integrations will follow via Zoho Flow.
Together, these developments mark a significant leap in Zoho’s AI ambitions, bringing enterprise-grade automation and intelligence closer to everyday business operations.
