Revolut Offers Free ChatGPT Go to 75 Million Customers
Revolut has partnered with OpenAI to include ChatGPT Go in its banking subscription plans. As a result, the fintech company will provide up to 12 months of free access to the AI service for its 75 million retail customers, depending on their subscription tier.
ChatGPT Go typically costs about €8 per month and sits between the free ChatGPT plan and the Plus subscription. It offers higher usage limits, file uploads, document analysis, image generation, and memory features. Additionally, the service runs on GPT-5.6.
Subscription Tiers Determine Access
The free access varies according to each customer’s existing subscription. Ultra customers receive 12 months of ChatGPT Go along with a 12-month buddy pass that they can share with another person. Meanwhile, Metal subscribers also receive a full year of access.
Premium and Revolut Pro users qualify for six months of ChatGPT Go. In contrast, Standard and Plus customers can claim three months through a promotional offer.
Paid subscribers and Revolut Pro users can redeem the benefit immediately within the app. Meanwhile, access for Plus and Standard customers will roll out over the coming weeks.
Partnership Expands AI Access
The collaboration benefits both companies in different ways. For Revolut, the addition strengthens its subscription packages by introducing another premium digital service. At the same time, OpenAI gains exposure to millions of potential long-term users after the complimentary access period ends.
“By partnering with OpenAI and offering ChatGPT plans to our customers, we are removing the burden of multiple monthly subscriptions and giving our users uninterrupted access to some of the world’s best productivity tools,” said Tara Massoudi, Partner and General Manager for Premium Products at Revolut.
Emmanuel Marill, OpenAI’s Managing Director for EMEA, called the deal an opportunity to “bring ChatGPT Go to millions of customers around the world, helping them use AI to make everyday life easier”.
Revolut Continues Rapid Growth
Revolut continues to expand its global presence. The company completed a $3 billion fundraising round at a $75 billion valuation late last year. Furthermore, it now serves more than 75 million customers worldwide, exceeding the combined user base of several major European digital banking rivals.
The company is also reportedly exploring a future initial public offering that could value the business at more than $200 billion. Meanwhile, ChatGPT Go becomes the third AI service integrated into Revolut’s subscription offerings, further expanding the platform’s AI-focused benefits.
