Saudi robot Sara demonstrates conversational interaction and dance capabilities at LEAP23

At the LEAP23 conference in Riyadh, the Kingdom’s Digital Pavilion has welcomed visitors with the assistance of Sara, the first robot to utilize the Saudi dialect. The event, which has seen substantial investments in technology, has seen over $9 billion in technology investments announced during its first day. Despite the significant financial deals taking place, Sara has garnered significant attention due to its unique capabilities.

Sara was developed through a collaboration between Saudi Digital and Qss Company and is equipped with various interactive features, such as the ability to communicate with visitors, perform popular dances, and respond to queries.

Utilizing artificial intelligence, a built-in camera recognizes people standing in front of the robot, allowing it to initiate a conversation when a visitor greets it with the phrase “Hello Sara”.

Sara’s pre-trained model allows it to recognize various dialects within the Kingdom, analyze sentences, understand their content, and provide an appropriate response in the form of text. This technology represents a significant advancement in the field of artificial intelligence and has generated much excitement among attendees at the LEAP23 conference.
