Trojan Construction Holding and Khalifa University of Science and Technology have signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to strengthen talent development, career readiness and knowledge exchange. It also seeks to build closer links between academia and the construction industry.
Partnership Targets Career Readiness
Under the agreement, the organisations will explore opportunities for students and recent graduates to gain professional exposure. In addition, the partnership will examine potential recruitment channels and career pathways within the construction sector.
The two sides will also explore internship and industrial training opportunities. These opportunities will depend on availability and Trojan Construction Holding’s internal requirements. Moreover, the initiatives will support graduate readiness and early-career development through relevant academic programmes.
The MoU also covers workshops, short courses, technical sessions and guest lectures. Therefore, students, graduates and current employees could gain access to learning opportunities linked to industry needs.
Industry Expertise Meets Academic Research
The partnership connects Khalifa University’s research and education capabilities with Trojan Construction Holding’s industry experience. As a result, both organisations can create stronger channels for knowledge exchange.
H.E. Professor Ebrahim Al Hajri, President of Khalifa University, said:“Strong industry partnerships are essential to ensuring that education and research translate into capabilities that serve the UAE’s future. Supporting UAE Workforce Development
The partnership also aligns with wider efforts to develop national capabilities. In particular, Trojan Construction Holding highlighted Emiratisation and workforce development as areas that could benefit from stronger industry-academia links.
Al Shamsi added:“Developing national talent requires closer alignment between education and industry. Through this MoU, we look forward to exploring opportunities that strengthen career readiness, support Emiratisation and contribute to building a highly skilled workforce equipped to meet the future needs of the UAE’s construction and infrastructure sectors.”
