TECOM’s in5 Showcases Start-up Success and Global Expansion at Step Dubai

TECOM’s in5 highlights startup growth and global expansion at Step Dubai 2025.

Dubai’s premier start-up incubator, in5, highlighted its growing impact at Step Dubai 2025, the region’s largest tech festival. Established by TECOM Group PJSC in 2013, in5 continues to support start-ups in technology, media, design, and science. Its focus remains on fostering innovation, securing investment, and driving global expansion.

Among its success stories is Namara Fintech, a Sharia-compliant micro-lending platform. The start-up recently graduated from in5 after achieving full acquisition, marking a major milestone. These achievements reinforce Dubai’s reputation as a thriving hub for entrepreneurs.

in5: Breakthrough Investments Propel Start-ups to New Markets

Several start-ups from in5 have secured major funding to expand internationally. Halo AI, an AI-powered brand-influencer collaboration platform, won AED 22 million at the ‘1 Billion Pitches’ competition. This funding will accelerate its growth in MENA, Europe, and North America.

Derq, an AI-driven transportation solutions provider, was another success story. It received AED 2.7 million from the US Department of Transportation after winning the Intersection Safety Challenge. This recognition strengthens its expansion in the US and GCC markets.

Since its launch, in5 has helped over 1,000 start-ups attract more than AED 7.8 billion in investments. Notable alumni include Tabby, a leading buy-now-pay-later platform in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and Detectiome, a health-tech innovator behind the first multi-cancer detection test for Middle Eastern populations.
