Accelerating Smart City Development
The agreements support NHC Innovation’s strategy of working with global technology leaders to strengthen digital infrastructure and expand the use of advanced technologies across housing and urban development projects. Moreover, the collaborations will explore AI-powered solutions that improve municipal services, urban management, and quality of life.
Al-Aql stated that digital innovation has become a major driver of modern urban development. Therefore, the company plans to leverage international expertise in artificial intelligence, data science, and smart city technologies to create more efficient and connected communities.
The partnerships will also focus on studying global best practices in urban governance, smart municipal oversight, and digital ecosystem development. In addition, NHC Innovation intends to benefit from Chinese expertise in building business districts and attracting investment to enhance the appeal of Saudi real estate projects.
Supporting Saudi Vision 2030
Beyond technology deployment, the agreements include initiatives for workforce development and knowledge transfer. Consequently, local talent will gain greater exposure to emerging technologies and advanced digital practices.
The visit to China also included meetings with senior executives from major technology firms and tours of innovation centers, smart factories, data centers, and Huawei’s Longgang Smart Operations Center. These engagements provided insights into advanced smart city operations and next-generation digital infrastructure.
The partnerships reinforce NHC Innovation’s role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation agenda. Furthermore, they align with Saudi Vision 2030 by supporting smarter cities, sustainable urban growth, and technology-driven economic development. At the same time, they strengthen cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China in key areas of innovation and digital infrastructure.
