EDGE Group, a global leader in advanced technology and defense, has partnered with e&, a leading international technology group, to implement and operate the region’s first Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) solution in Abu Dhabi. The agreement was formalized during GITEX GLOBAL 2025 in the presence of key industry leaders and government officials.

The UTM system aims to deliver real-time drone monitoring, conflict resolution, and coordinated traffic management across multiple operators. This innovation will significantly enhance the safety, efficiency, and regulatory oversight of drone operations. Moreover, it supports a range of critical applications, including emergency response, environmental monitoring, logistics, and smart city operations. By integrating these systems, Abu Dhabi is taking a major step toward becoming a global model for safe and efficient drone airspace management.
