The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) hosted the AI Connect event, bringing together over 60 startups, entrepreneurs, government entities, and investment firms. The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence in Dubai’s public sector, aligning with the city’s goal to become a global leader in AI-driven solutions.
The event, organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), showcased agreements between startups and government institutions to co-develop AI solutions. It also served as a platform for collaboration, where startups presented their innovations and engaged directly with public and private sector stakeholders.
Advancing Dubai’s AI Strategy
AI Connect aligns with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, a roadmap introduced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The blueprint envisions an enhanced quality of life in Dubai through innovative AI applications, focusing on digital infrastructure, regulatory flexibility, and a business-friendly environment.

Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, highlighted some of the successful AI projects that are already improving operations across government sectors. “The applications of artificial intelligence in Dubai’s government are addressing critical challenges and streamlining operations,” said Al Falasi.
Panel Discussions and Success Stories
Participants in the event included prominent startups and organizations like Musafir, AI Camp, Pixonal, Enterprise Bot, and Aqtab, which shared their success stories. During panel discussions, they emphasized the importance of government support in transforming innovative ideas into practical applications.
Delegates also discussed the challenges of integrating AI technologies, such as regulatory barriers, and proposed strategies for promoting inclusivity, including increasing the participation of women in the AI field.
Creating a Thriving AI Ecosystem
The Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, overseen by DCAI, aims to establish Dubai as a magnet for global AI talent and startups. By fostering a thriving ecosystem with advanced infrastructure and streamlined business processes, the initiative is designed to position the city as a leader in AI innovation.
The event underscored the emirate’s commitment to driving technological progress while addressing societal and operational challenges through collaboration between government entities and private sector innovators.
