CrowdStrike Launches Sovereign Cloud in Saudi Arabia

CrowdStrike has launched its sovereign cloud deployment in Saudi Arabia, bringing its AI-powered Falcon cybersecurity platform to government agencies, critical infrastructure operators and private enterprises.

Announced on November 4, 2026, the deployment allows organisations to manage cybersecurity workloads and sensitive information within Saudi Arabia. At the same time, customers retain access to CrowdStrike’s global threat intelligence and AI-driven security capabilities.

The launch forms part of the company’s Global Data Sovereignty strategy. It also supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen national cybersecurity infrastructure as organisations accelerate artificial intelligence adoption.

The Falcon platform is available immediately to customers and authorised partners in the Kingdom.

Local Data Residency With Global Cybersecurity Protection

The new deployment allows CrowdStrike to host Falcon security workloads, customer telemetry and management infrastructure inside Saudi Arabia.

This arrangement gives organisations greater control over where they store and process sensitive security information. It also helps meet local data residency requirements and applicable national cybersecurity regulations.

However, organisations will retain access to CrowdStrike’s global security intelligence. The platform combines locally hosted infrastructure with worldwide threat detection, automated protection and expert-led threat hunting.

This approach aims to prevent data sovereignty requirements from limiting cybersecurity visibility. As a result, security teams can maintain coordinated protection against threats that operate across national borders.

CrowdStrike is targeting several sectors through the deployment:

  • Government entities: Supporting cybersecurity operations involving sensitive government information.

  • Critical national infrastructure: Strengthening protection for essential services and strategic facilities.

  • Private enterprises: Providing locally hosted cybersecurity infrastructure for businesses operating in Saudi Arabia.

The architecture also supports organisations seeking to consolidate their cybersecurity operations through a unified platform.

AI Agent Security Becomes a Key Platform Feature

The Saudi sovereign cloud also introduces capabilities designed to secure the growing use of AI agents.

As businesses deploy autonomous AI systems, security teams face new risks, including unauthorised access, data exposure, and unexpected agent behaviour.

CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform can discover AI agents and provide runtime visibility into their activities. It also monitors the systems and information these agents access.

The platform can also identify and stop malicious agent activity in real time. These capabilities aim to help organisations manage emerging security risks as AI becomes integrated into business operations.

Meanwhile, CrowdStrike combines agent monitoring with its existing AI-powered detection and threat intelligence capabilities. This lets organisations address conventional cyber threats alongside risks tied to autonomous systems.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Digital Transformation

The launch comes as Saudi Arabia expands its digital infrastructure and investment in artificial intelligence. Government programmes and private-sector initiatives are increasing demand for secure cloud environments and locally managed data.

Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, said the deployment gives organisations local control of data alongside global threat intelligence. He emphasised that data sovereignty should not limit the ability to defend against cyber threats.

Ahmad O. Al Khowaiter, Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Aramco, also highlighted the importance of advanced technologies in supporting the Kingdom’s development.

He said the initiative would contribute to Saudi Arabia’s ambition to advance secure, AI-driven economic growth.

The deployment also builds on CrowdStrike’s January 2026 announcement of planned regional sovereign cloud expansions across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and India.

Through this expansion, CrowdStrike is positioning its Falcon platform to serve organisations that require local data residency and internationally connected cybersecurity protection. The development also reflects the growing importance of sovereign cloud infrastructure as governments and enterprises adopt AI technologies.
