Aramco Digital and Dell Scale Industrial AI

Aramco Digital Dell Technologies strategic partnership

Aramco Digital and Dell Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate the adoption of industrial AI across Saudi Arabia. The partnership will also strengthen cloud consulting, managed IT services and cyber resilience capabilities.

The agreement brings together Dell’s enterprise technology portfolio and Aramco Digital’s industrial expertise. Together, the companies will explore solutions designed for organisations across the Kingdom.

The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 digital transformation agenda. In addition, it reflects the growing demand for secure AI infrastructure across energy, manufacturing and other asset-intensive industries.

Industrial AI and Cloud Infrastructure

Under the MoU, Dell and Aramco Digital will explore ways to improve operational efficiency through industrial AI. They will also examine opportunities to optimise multi-cloud environments and strengthen data protection.

Furthermore, the companies plan to support secure and scalable AI deployments. This focus addresses organisations that need to process operational data while maintaining control over sensitive information.

Aramco Digital specialises in industrial AI infrastructure, data platforms and digital services. Its platform connects industrial assets, data, AI and applications within a unified architecture.

Meanwhile, Dell brings enterprise computing, storage, networking and infrastructure capabilities to the collaboration. The company has also expanded its Saudi operations and local fulfilment capacity as demand for AI infrastructure grows.

Consequently, the partnership could help organisations move industrial AI projects from experimentation toward production. It may also provide a broader infrastructure foundation for AI workloads across Saudi industries.

Focus on Cyber Resilience and Managed Services

The agreement extends beyond AI computing. Dell and Aramco Digital will also explore cloud consulting, managed IT services and cyber resilience.

Therefore, the collaboration addresses several infrastructure requirements simultaneously. Organisations can potentially combine AI deployment with cloud modernisation, data protection and security services.

Mohamed Talaat, Dell Technologies’ Vice President for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, North Africa and the Levant, said the collaboration supports Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation under Vision 2030. He also highlighted the combination of Dell’s global technology ecosystem with Aramco Digital’s industrial capabilities.

Dr Ashraf Al-Tahini, CEO of Aramco Digital, said industrial AI can transform how industries operate, scale and create value. He added that the partnership aims to combine advanced infrastructure with Aramco Digital’s industrial expertise.

The companies will also explore joint go-to-market initiatives. In addition, they will examine ways to expand access to Dell enterprise solutions through authorised channel partners across Saudi Arabia.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Industrial AI Strategy

Saudi Arabia has increasingly focused on building local AI capabilities and infrastructure. Aramco Digital forms part of that effort by developing industrial-grade digital products, platforms and services aligned with Vision 2030.

Moreover, Aramco has identified AI, cloud computing and connectivity as important tools for industrial transformation. The company is also investing in AI talent and digital capabilities through Aramco Digital and other initiatives.

The new Dell agreement adds another technology partnership to this expanding ecosystem. Earlier this year, Aramco Digital partnered with Cumulocity to deploy industrial AIoT solutions across the GCC. That collaboration initially focused on fleet management and connected industrial assets.

As a result, the Dell partnership could broaden the infrastructure available for industrial AI deployments. The companies have not announced specific customer deployments or financial terms for the new MoU.

However, the agreement establishes a framework for further cooperation. Over time, its focus on AI infrastructure, cloud services, data protection and cyber resilience could support wider industrial digitalisation across the Kingdom.
