Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launches at $700 With Flagship Cameras

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE smartphone

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S26 FE as its most affordable S-series flagship. The new phone combines several premium features with a lower starting price.

Galaxy S26 FE Offers a Premium Display

The Galaxy S26 FE starts at $700. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with up to 1,900 nits of brightness. Moreover, the screen supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

For comparison, the Galaxy S26+ also has a 6.7-inch display. However, that model starts at $1,100. Its screen reaches slightly higher brightness, although both phones offer the same refresh rate.

The FE also packs a 4,900mAh battery. It supports 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Therefore, battery capacity matches the S26+, although wireless charging is slower.

Under the hood, the phone uses the Exynos 2500 processor. Meanwhile, other S-series models use Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite chips. The FE also comes with 8GB of RAM, compared with 12GB on the other S-series phones.

Premium Cameras and Galaxy AI Features

The Galaxy S26 FE includes three rear cameras. These consist of a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and an 8MP telephoto lens. Up front, a 12MP selfie camera provides an 85-degree field of view.

Importantly, the camera setup remains close to what Samsung offers on more expensive S-series models. As a result, buyers can get several flagship-level photography features without paying flagship prices.

The phone also supports newer software features introduced with One UI 9. For example, users can access Fan Cam, Super Steady horizontal video lock and generative tools that turn still images into videos.

Additionally, familiar Galaxy AI features are included. These include Circle to Search, Gemini Live and Now Brief. Therefore, the FE retains many of the software capabilities found on pricier models.

Colors, Updates and Availability

The Galaxy S26 FE comes in three colors: Blueberry, Pistachio and Graphite. Furthermore, the phone will receive seven years of security and feature updates.

Samsung has also improved Smart Switch to make switching to the new phone easier. Consequently, users moving from another device can transfer their data more conveniently.

The Galaxy S26 FE will launch in select markets on September 3. Wide availability will follow on September 4.

Overall, the $700 Galaxy S26 FE targets buyers who want flagship-style cameras, a high-refresh-rate display and modern AI features without paying for a premium S-series model.
