Ring has introduced Smart Video Search in the United Arab Emirates, adding a new AI-powered tool that simplifies how users review and locate moments in their video history.
Faster access to specific video moments
First, Smart Video Search allows users to find specific events by typing simple text queries in the Ring app. Instead of manually scrolling through recordings, users can search phrases such as package delivery times or household arrivals. As a result, locating relevant moments becomes quicker and more intuitive.
In addition, the feature supports searches related to daily activities involving family members, pets, home activities, or personal routines. Therefore, it reduces the effort required to review large volumes of video footage.
Advanced AI built into Ring IQ
Smart Video Search runs on Ring IQ, which combines AI technology with in-house expertise. Moreover, it uses Visual Language Modelling to match written queries with visual content in recorded footage. Consequently, the system delivers accurate results within seconds.
At the same time, this capability represents one of Ring’s most advanced AI features to date. As a result, the feature strengthens the role of AI in everyday home monitoring.
Availability and subscription details
Currently, Smart Video Search supports all Ring video doorbells and cameras. Additionally, it is rolling out in public beta across the UAE. However, access requires an active Ring Home Premium subscription.
The subscription is priced at $20 per month or $200 per year. Overall, the launch expands Ring’s AI-driven services while improving convenience for smart home users in the region.
