APPLE GLASSES

A futuristic, first-generation wearable product in the pipeline may be the Apple Glass augmented reality glasses.

Apple Glasses (aka Apple Glass) is consumers’ next step in augmented reality. A “predictive, foveated virtual reality system” and a head-wearable device were both granted U.S. patents by Apple. Both are components of the tech giant’s long-rumored mixed/augmented reality head-mounted display system.

The Apple Glass, a working name for the planned Mixed Reality headset, is anticipated to be unveiled sometime in 2022 and go on sale in early 2023 or Q4 2022.

The next iteration of the Apple M1 SoC, based on TSMC’s manufacturing process, is reported to power the Apple Glass. This desktop-level chip is similar to the one found in the iMac.

Regarding the screen, there are rumors about a high-definition Micro OLED display. For connectivity, we know that the devices will feature Wi-Fi 6E standards, possibly with the support of an Apple-developed modem chip.

RTX 4090

The RTX 4090 from Nvidia is the new flagship of the company’s Ada Lovelace architecture-based new generation of graphics cards. It provides new technology, improvements, and a significant improvement in GPU performance. With significant enhancements to ray tracing and deep learning super sampling (DLSS) performance, it aims to serve the next generation of video games.

In its GTC keynote talk on September 20, Nvidia unveiled the RTX 4090, announcing that the new card will be on sale on October 12 for $1,599. Later on, it will be joined by the RTX 4080 16GB ($1,200) and RTX 4080 12GB ($900), all of which will be on sale in November (Nvidia hasn’t yet provided a specific launch date).

The RTX 4090 is constructed using the most recent TSMC 4nm technology and is based on Nvidia’s new Ada Lovelace architecture. That makes it possible for unparalleled efficiency and a significantly smaller design. The RTX 4090 manages to have much higher clock rates while having more than 50% more CUDA cores than the RTX 3090. Similar memory setups are used, with 24GB of GDDR6X operating at a 384-bit width.

One of the dangers of previewing a game is that they’re still projects in the middle of development – sometimes, like with Stray Blade, you can be reminded of this fact more often than others. The forthcoming Action RPG from Point Blank Games has a lot of intriguing concepts. Still, when we got a chance to play a pre-Alpha build of the game at last week’s 505 Games LA Demo Days, it vacillated between being ready to play and needing a bit more time to develop before making its semi-public debut.

You take on the role of an unknown “Adventurer” in Stray Blade, who has finally located the fabled country of Acrea, the Lost Valley. Till death. You are revived by your new friend Boji and discover that you cannot leave Acrea. Your goal is to explore the conflict-torn valley and work to re-establish equilibrium by learning fighting techniques as Boji gathers lore. Boji can revive you if you pass away during combat. The great thing is that you bring about change in whatever you do. When you return to an area, whether you win or lose, the effects of your prior deeds will produce a change you must account for. This allows you to discover a setting that is always changing.

Additionally, the surroundings are lovely. On your quest to get stronger and liberate yourself from this lovely environment, there is a lot to explore, from old city ruins to lush woods to chilly tunnels. Keep an eye out for Stray Blade!

Summon Your Ultimate Shower With a Mere Touch

Kohler Co., a global lifestyle brand, expands its smart home portfolio with the new digital shower system. Boasting the popular features of the brand’s popular digital showering collections, the new voice-enabled system allows consumers to create presets for sound, water, steam, and lighting, delivering the ultimate customized spa-like showering experience, placing it in a category all on its own. Homeowners can use voice commands, or a wall-mounted interface to access presets, make adjustments, and use the system’s eco settings to control water usage.

This is showering re-envisioned at the most basic level. The Statement Showering Collection brings a range of unique shapes and an array of sizes to the shower, breathing new life into well-loved standards and marrying the latest in technology with enduring craftsmanship. Innovative sprays elevate the showering experience, and universal compatibility means the system works wherever in the world it is installed.

Seven immersive spray experiences offered within the collection include a Deep Massage spray composed of twisting jets that knead sore muscles and a Cloud spray that swathes the body in a warm mist. Other spray options include a Full Coverage Rain, a dense, wide Sweep, and Ribbon Massage that cascades in an angled stream. Additionally, the collection offers an Infinity spray – interlaced water streams create three experience zones in a single spray – the droplets closest to the nozzle rinse, while the middle zone massages, and the farthest stream provides coverage

“Showering is so much more than just getting clean. It is a chance to feel rejuvenated, a moment to focus on self-care,” says Lun Cheak Tan, Kohler VP of Industrial Design.
