Zeekr 9X Redefines Ultra-Luxury SUVs at Shanghai Auto Show
Zeekr made a powerful statement at the 21st Shanghai Auto Show by unveiling its flagship SUV, the Zeekr 9X, alongside the four-seat Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition. This marks the first time Chinese ultra-luxury vehicles have been showcased on such a global platform, signaling a new chapter for premium new energy vehicles (NEVs).
Setting New Benchmarks in Design and Comfort
An Conghui, president of Geely Holding Group and CEO of Zeekr, highlighted that this debut represents Zeekr’s first international auto show appearance since its inception. He emphasized the Group’s ambition to become a global leader in premium NEVs and transform the high-end luxury market in China and worldwide.
The Zeekr 9X breaks traditional luxury norms with a striking front design featuring the largest single-piece chrome grille on any global SUV. Inspired by royal palace architecture, the grille conveys strength and grandeur. The vehicle balances this imposing presence with refined elegance through harmonious proportions, including a high roofline and oversized wheels.
Notably, the 9X offers the widest rear doors in the new energy SUV segment—exceeding one meter in width and nearly opening to 90 degrees. This thoughtful design enhances passenger comfort, providing an effortless entry and exit experience comparable to luxury MPVs.
The Ultimate Hybrid SUV for Performance and Adventure
The Zeekr 9X is the world’s first SUV to integrate a full-stack 900V hybrid architecture, powered by the cutting-edge “Xiaoyao” battery. This setup delivers exceptional electric driving range and fast recharging, pushing the limits of long-distance electric travel.
Its powertrain combines a 290 kW front motor and a 370 kW rear motor, supported by a self-developed 2.0T super-hybrid engine, the most powerful of its kind globally. This configuration propels the Zeekr 9X from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h, firmly establishing its dominance in the hybrid SUV market.
