ZainTECH and Microsoft Boost Kuwait’s Digital Transformation

Kuwait digital transformation partnership

ZainTECH has joined forces with Zain Kuwait, Zain Omantel International (ZOI), and Microsoft to accelerate government and enterprise digital modernization in Kuwait. The collaboration marks the launch of Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute on the Azure Marketplace—an initiative designed to provide secure, private, and compliant cloud connectivity. This development simplifies how organizations in Kuwait can access advanced infrastructure while supporting the country’s Vision 2035 goals for digital growth and innovation.

Through this alliance, customers can directly procure ExpressRoute using existing Azure agreements and consumption credits, allowing faster deployment and reduced administrative hurdles. Moreover, the feature enables high-speed, low-latency connections to Microsoft data centers in the UAE and Europe, ensuring data compliance and enhanced performance for mission-critical workloads.

Simplified Access and Enhanced Cloud Capabilities

The partnership makes cloud adoption smoother and more accessible for both public and private sectors. With ExpressRoute, entities can leverage a dedicated and secure connection that supports advanced workloads requiring speed, security, and guaranteed data residency. Andrew Hanna, CEO of ZainTECH, said: “Helping governments and enterprises become more digital, intelligent and resilient is what all Zain entities aim for. The availability of ExpressRoute on the Azure Marketplace is a game-changer for customers in Kuwait.”

He added that the initiative “removes friction from the procurement process and makes it easier than ever for entities to leverage Microsoft’s cloud, using their existing agreements and credits.” According to Hanna, this step represents a practical way to “accelerate real transformation” by combining operational simplicity with high-speed, reliable connectivity.
