UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Declares 2025 as the Year of Community
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has officially declared 2025 as the Year of Community, under the unifying slogan “Hand in Hand.” This initiative reflects the UAE leadership’s vision to foster a collaborative, empowered, and inclusive society.
The Year of Community aims to strengthen family and community bonds by preserving cultural heritage, nurturing ties across generations, and creating inclusive spaces that encourage collaboration, belonging, and shared experiences. It calls on all UAE residents and citizens to actively contribute through community service, volunteering, and impactful initiatives, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and driving collective progress.
The initiative also seeks to unlock the potential of individuals, families, and organisations by developing skills, nurturing talents, and encouraging innovation across fields such as entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and other key UAE national priorities. The ultimate goal is to enable sustainable growth and long-term positive impact.
Overseen by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, alongside Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects, the initiative will launch various events throughout the year to strengthen social cohesion, uphold Emirati values, and provide opportunities for all to contribute to the UAE’s progress.
The initiative invites citizens and residents to actively participate by sharing ideas and proposals to enhance social bonds, support community development, and celebrate the cultural diversity that defines the UAE, reinforcing the vision of building a strong, united, and thriving nation.
