WEF Unveils "Industries in the Intelligent Age" Report Series to Explore AI Trends and Applications

The World Economic Forum (WEF)’s AI Governance Alliance has introduced the “Industries in the Intelligent Age” report series, offering a comprehensive guide for businesses and governments aiming to implement and scale artificial intelligence (AI). Comprising nine detailed reports, the series delves into AI industry trends, highlights successful applications, and identifies critical enablers. It is designed to drive innovation, enhance competitiveness, and foster sustainable growth.

Frontier MINDS Initiative Launched
As part of the initiative, WEF launched Frontier MINDS (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions), a platform dedicated to scaling high-impact, replicable AI solutions. This program aims to address global challenges such as equitable healthcare access, climate change, sustainable energy transitions, resilient supply chains, and workforce transformation. In collaboration with the GAEA (Giving to Amplify Earth Action) initiative, Frontier MINDS will focus on AI-driven solutions for climate impact and sustainable wealth management. Nominations for Frontier MINDS are now open, with the first cohort to be announced during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions in 2025.

Driving AI’s Transformative Potential
“AI holds transformative potential to address society’s most pressing challenges, but achieving this requires informed and responsible policy-making,” said Cathy Li, Head of AI, Data, and the Metaverse at the WEF. The report series and Frontier MINDS aim to equip industry leaders and policymakers with the insights necessary to scale AI solutions that drive societal and economic progress sustainably.
