A delegation of 50 Chief AI Officers from federal and local entities will embark on a 10-day visit to some of the world’s most influential technology companies. This step highlights the nation’s strong commitment to digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence in governance.
During the visit, officers will gain firsthand exposure to innovative technologies and emerging trends. Moreover, they will engage with international experts, encouraging the exchange of best practices and ideas. The program has been designed to build lasting relationships with global leaders, while ensuring the UAE remains prepared for the challenges of the digital future.
The itinerary includes visits to companies such as Google, Meta, OpenAI, Palantir, NVIDIA, IBM, Amazon, and Microsoft. By interacting with these organizations, the delegation will explore opportunities for collaboration and shape the direction of future technology adoption.
Strengthening National AI Goals
The initiative reflects the government’s dedication to fulfilling the UAE National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, which was launched in 2017 under the UAE Centennial 2071 vision. This long-term plan aims to position the nation as a global leader in innovation and excellence across all sectors.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, affirmed that since the strategy’s launch, the leadership has pursued a comprehensive vision for shaping the future. This vision not only accelerates technological progress but also emphasizes the importance of readiness in every aspect of governance.
The meetings planned throughout the program will allow officers to directly connect with technology leaders, innovation hubs, and AI experts. Consequently, they will be able to enhance government services, improve performance, and introduce innovative solutions tailored to the country’s evolving needs.
Building Global Partnerships
According to Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services and head of the delegation, the program creates a crucial platform for UAE Chief AI Officers to engage with top technology players worldwide. He explained that this interaction enables the exchange of expertise, encourages the development of creative solutions, and supports the adoption of global best practices.
The visit also highlights the nation’s recognition of human capital as a cornerstone of digital development. By investing in national talent and strengthening global partnerships, the UAE continues to reinforce its position as a leader in the digital economy. Furthermore, the initiative underlines a broader commitment to international cooperation, ensuring sustainable progress and future readiness in the era of emerging technologies.
