
Acer has expanded its handheld gaming portfolio at CES 2025 with the introduction of two new devices, the Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11, alongside the innovative Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller. These products highlight Acer’s ambition in the mobile gaming market.
Both devices are powered by AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors, featuring 16GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage. The Nitro Blaze 8 comes with an 8.8-inch WQXGA display, while the Nitro Blaze 11 features a larger 10.95-inch WQXGA screen. Both displays support a 144 Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth gameplay.
The Nitro Blaze 11 offers detachable controllers and a built-in stand, making it versatile for handheld and desktop use. The Nitro Blaze 8, while not featuring detachable controllers, is equipped with Hall Effect triggers and sticks, ensuring durability and precision. Both devices support Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C connectivity.
Acer also introduced the Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller, a foldable design compatible with iOS and Android devices. It connects via USB-C for minimal input lag, offers pass-through charging, and supports devices with displays up to 8.3 inches.
The Nitro Blaze 8 is priced at $899, while the Nitro Blaze 11 costs $1,099, with a Q2 2025 release. The Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller will launch in Q1 2025 for $70.
