The first all-electric freight plane in the area has received a temporary license from the UAE. The aircraft will have zero emissions and run exclusively on clean energy. This occurred on Sunday when a Cabinet meeting was being presided over by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
Taking to Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed said the move is an “important step that may contribute to changing the future of the shipping sector and its environmental impacts”.
