SpaceXAI has unveiled Grok 4.5, its latest frontier AI model designed for coding, agentic workflows, and advanced knowledge tasks. The release marks the company’s first model developed alongside AI coding platform Cursor following the acquisition of Cursor’s parent company, Anysphere. Consequently, Grok 4.5 expands beyond conversational AI and targets developers, enterprises, and technical professionals.

The company describes Grok 4.5 as its most capable model to date. Moreover, SpaceXAI says the model delivers stronger coding performance, better reasoning, and improved tool use while maintaining competitive pricing for enterprise deployments.

Cursor Collaboration Strengthens Coding Capabilities

Grok 4.5 was trained together with Cursor using large-scale software engineering workflows and reinforcement learning techniques. Therefore, the model can handle long-running programming tasks, agentic automation, and complex problem-solving across software engineering, data science, finance, and legal research.

Unlike earlier Grok releases, the new model focuses on enterprise productivity instead of general chatbot interactions. In addition, SpaceXAI has optimized the system for extended reasoning, multi-step coding, and creative use of external tools during task execution.

The company said Grok 4.5 is available through Grok Build, Cursor, and the SpaceXAI developer platform. Furthermore, API pricing starts at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, positioning the model as a lower-cost option for enterprise AI development.

Enterprise AI Competition Intensifies

The launch comes as AI companies compete to deliver specialized models for software development and autonomous workflows. Therefore, SpaceXAI is positioning Grok 4.5 against leading coding models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

According to the company, Grok 4.5 was trained alongside Cursor rather than simply integrated with it after development. As a result, the model benefits from real-world coding workflows and developer interactions gathered through the Cursor platform.
