SpaceX modern Noah Archs

Over the past few years, SpaceX has been taking active steps towards advancement in the sector of space exploration. Recently, Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, revealed that a next-generation launch vehicle platform known as the Starship is undergoing development at the headquarters in Boca Chica, Texas, USA. The focus is to build and seek a habitable situation on Mars, which also is coherent with the aim of the company, which focuses on turning mankind into an interplanetary species.

The Starship is expected to be one of the biggest rockets in history and it is also intended to replace the Falcon series so that it can carry out missions to low Earth orbit (LEO) and other locations. It is also in alignment with the Artemis program that is run by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Over 1000 Starships would be built to make an effort toward transporting life to Mars and making it a sustainable place.

Musk stated that the Starship models would be considered as the “modern-day Noah’s Arc” that would be helpful in saving lives from the calamity of today’s world. SpaceX is of the opinion that building a multi-planetary life would expand the scale and scope of consciousness, and would also enable the inhabitants to back up the biosphere and also protect life on Earth from all plausible calamities.

The Starships built by SpaceX would be used to take humans and also cargo to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. It is designed to consist of two elements-a first-stage booster called the Super Heavy and an upper-stage spacecraft called the Starship. Both these components are built in a way that would be completely reusable and are powered by SpaceX’s new raptor engines—33 for the Super Heavy and 6 for the Starship. This would pave the way for environmental sustainability and reduce costs at the same time.

Up until now, SpaceX has conducted numerous high-altitude test flights of the Starship prototype at the Starbase Unit in South Texas. They intend to launch the system’s first-ever orbital test mission, which needs approval from the FAA and a host of other regulatory bodies. However, the Starship program has not yet been given full confirmation by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Even though the environmental review is still pending, it is expected that the program will soon get a green signal from all authorities.
