Saudia has partnered with Saudi Arabia Railways to integrate their digital systems and simplify passenger journeys. As a result, travelers can issue boarding passes for both air and rail trips in a single transaction.
Moreover, this collaboration aims to streamline travel procedures while improving connectivity between different transport modes. Consequently, passengers can save time and effort while enjoying a smoother overall experience.
Expanding Connectivity and Innovation
The agreement was signed during the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum 2026 in Madinah, highlighting its strategic importance. Furthermore, it builds on previous cooperation between the two entities, including joint fare programs for travel to Makkah and Madinah.
In addition, Saudia continues to enhance passenger journeys through advanced digital services powered by artificial intelligence. These improvements offer personalized travel solutions while strengthening efficiency across all stages of travel.
Enhancements also extend to onboard and ground services, including modern entertainment systems and high-speed inflight connectivity. Therefore, passengers benefit from a more comfortable and engaging journey.
Strengthening Saudi Transport Ecosystem
The Haramain High-Speed Railway stands among the fastest trains globally, reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h. Additionally, it connects Makkah and Madinah through five major stations, including a key hub at King Abdulaziz International Airport.
Mr. Akhonbay commented that, “This agreement reflects Saudia’s commitment to advancing a more seamless and integrated travel experience through digital innovation. Our digital infrastructure is designed to support the continuous introduction of new services with high efficiency and reliability.”
Overall, this integration strengthens the national transport network while enabling seamless movement across air and rail systems.
