Saudi Arabia to Launch Google Pay Integration in 2025
In a landmark development for Saudi Arabia’s financial ecosystem, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has partnered with Google to introduce Google Pay in 2025. This collaboration will integrate Google Pay into the Kingdom’s national payment system, mada, enabling secure and seamless digital payments for consumers.
Google Pay will revolutionize the payment experience in Saudi Arabia by allowing users to make fast, secure payments in stores, apps, and websites with just a tap. Through integration with Google Wallet, users will also be able to manage their payment cards, offering an enhanced and secure purchasing experience.
This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to modernize the Kingdom’s infrastructure, reduce reliance on cash, and promote digital payment adoption. By introducing globally recognized solutions like Google Pay, SAMA is fostering innovation and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a leader in financial technology (FinTech).
The partnership also reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to staying ahead of market trends and meeting growing demands for digital payment solutions. By paving the way for a more cashless society, this collaboration marks another milestone in the Kingdom’s journey to becoming a global FinTech hub.
