SAP brings new tools and modularity to rising
SAP kicked off 2021 with a key risk of migrating its customer’s core ERP applications to the cloud. “Rise with SAP” allows to move customers’ systems of record to their choice of the cloud provider and control them there with a single SLA.
SAP is including support for more business functions and for five industry verticals. Customers want a holistic, modular ERP cloud solution so HR and procurement capabilities are included.
SAP is proposing to receive industry-specific applications for retail, consumer products, automotive, utilities, or industrial machinery and components(IMC).
Ilona Hansen, vice president, and analyst in Gartner’s applications and software engineering group said, SAP is positive about the uptake for rising, most customers are waiting to see what it is all about.
There has been some initial trouble among SAP’s partners about the role they will play in position Rise, which the company has done much to clarify.
The partners and operators are yet there but there is one SLA and in case you are in trouble there is SAP who is leading you.
With applications receive a data model on a new platform and all application services using the platform for identity and security.
