First, the Odyssey 3D G90XH introduces a 32-inch IPS panel with a 6K resolution and glasses-free 3D visuals. In addition, real-time eye tracking continuously adjusts depth and perspective based on the viewer’s position. The monitor runs at 165Hz by default, while Dual Mode lowers resolution to 3K and raises the refresh rate to 330Hz.
Compared with the earlier Odyssey 3D shown last year, this version delivers a larger screen and a sharper image. Meanwhile, the other 6K monitors from Asus, Dell, and LG focus on productivity rather than immersive gaming features. As a result, Samsung positions the Odyssey 3D as a niche product for high-end players. Several games already support its 3D effects, and optimized titles include Stellar Blade, Lies of P: Overture, and The First Berserker: Khazan.
Record refresh rates arrive with Odyssey G6
Alongside 3D innovation, Samsung is also targeting extreme speed. The Odyssey G6 G60H reaches a 1,040Hz refresh rate at HD resolution. However, at its native 1440p resolution, the panel still delivers up to 600Hz, which remains well beyond current mainstream displays.
At the same time, the 27-inch monitor supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync. Therefore, it caters to competitive players who prioritize responsiveness over resolution.
Expanded Odyssey G8 lineup broadens options
Samsung is also expanding its Odyssey G8 range with three new models. The 32-inch G80HS pairs a 6K panel with refresh rates up to 165Hz, or 330Hz when switched to 3K. Meanwhile, the 27-inch G80HF offers a 5K resolution with refresh rates of up to 180Hz or 360Hz at 1440p.
Additionally, the 4K OLED Odyssey G8 targets players who prioritize contrast and image quality. It delivers refresh rates up to 240Hz, 300-nit brightness, and True Black 500 certification. All G8 models support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync.
For now, Samsung has not shared pricing or release timelines. However, given the cost of earlier 3D models, the 6K Odyssey 3D is expected to sit firmly in the premium segment.
