Samsung Unveils Galaxy S25 Edge: Redefining Ultra-Thin Smartphone Innovation
Samsung Electronics has revealed the Galaxy S25 Edge, a revolutionary addition to its flagship lineup that combines cutting-edge technology with a sleek, ultra-thin design. Announced during the Samsung Unpacked event in San Jose, California, the Edge model aims to challenge Apple’s rumored “iPhone Air” by launching globally in mid-2025.
The Galaxy S25 Edge stands out as the thinnest model in Samsung’s history while maintaining advanced performance capabilities, including AI features powered by Google Gemini and Samsung’s proprietary technology. TM Roh, President of Samsung’s Mobile Devices Business, highlighted that the Edge incorporates premium features from the Galaxy S25 Ultra in a more compact and affordable form.
Roh explained, “Our goal is to deliver the best AI, camera, and performance features in a stunning form factor that sets a new benchmark in smartphone innovation.”
Priced below the S25 Ultra’s starting point of $1,299, the Edge targets a wider audience. It joins Samsung’s efforts to integrate AI-driven personalization, such as the “Now Brief” service, which provides tailored recommendations.
Apple is also preparing to compete in the ultra-thin category with its sleek iPhone Air, marking one of its most notable design shifts in years. However, Samsung’s early entry into this niche could position the Galaxy S25 Edge as a market leader.
With its mix of advanced technology and aesthetic appeal, the Galaxy S25 Edge is set to make waves in the competitive smartphone market.
